It’s Launch Day!!!
I’m so, so thrilled to debut my beautiful new brand and website crafted by the talented Erica Clayton with Refinery Original. It’s built on the AMAZING and POWERFUL and CANNOT PRAISE IT ENOUGH ShowIt5 platform. This thing is a designer and photographer’s dream platform. Erica’s a newly designated Design Partner for ShowIt5, and I’m so lucky to have had her skills and designer’s eye working on this brand relaunch.
We’re celebrating the launch from 8 to 10 p.m. EST over on my Facebook page, with lots of giveaways of my Favorite Things. Come join us!
A few notes of eternal gratitude:
My sister, first and foremost, for being my biggest cheerleader during what turned out to be a longer process than anticipated — and whose encouragement meant the world to me. (My husband and my parents are tied for second!) (P.S. she’s a classically trained pianist and piano teacher, and I love listening to her compositions!)
Liz Cook, the gracious and lovely photographer mama sister friend, whose friendship and business savvy were invaluable! Plus she shared her babysitter, which parents everywhere know is no joking matter. She’s one of the only people in the world I would commit to driving through a snowstorm to be a backup birth photographer for, even though that sweet baby held out for Liz in the end! Seriously, if you are preggers or know someone who is, you want Liz to capture your birth story.
Hilary Sutton Lagares, who began coaching me down this road a zillion years ago (that’s only slightly exaggerated) and who wrote my About copy. It’s super hard to write about yourself! She’s a wunderkind of marketing and writing herself, and leads absolutely fabulous freelance workshops, among other things.
My community, both of friends (and The Motherhood Collective, which provided me an important outlet as I balanced motherhood and professional growth!) and my city itself. This place gets under your skin in all sorts of ways, but it’s home and I love it here.
Ryan & Kelly Portnoy, who took the FABULOUS new headshots and images of me holding my Hasselblad film camera and my grandfather’s Kodak. I’ve had a crush on their photography for a decade, and they’re the sweetest and humblest people you’ll meet. They’re doing really beautiful things in their church community, and are pretty great models of parenthood, too.
Whew. There are a zillion other thank yous I owe, so PLEASE forgive me if your name is not here. I cannot and do not do this alone.
Here are just some of the prizes on our party page! Photos of products courtesy the Etsy makers (they are credited/linked on the giveaway page, and I will edit this entry to include links after the party!).
